Nurse Practitioner

Exciting opportunity for a skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join a busy Internal Medicine practice in Tempe, AZ. This group provides outpatient evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of disorders. The NP/PA will be responsible for providing outpatient diagnostic and clinical care practices including, but not limited to: performing patient histories, physicals and formulating assessment and care plans as per scope of practice. This position requires a high level of customer service, patient care and communication skills. Will be working mostly with Geriatric patients. Education and License Requirements: Master’s Degree. Current, unrestricted AZ state NP or PA license. Salary: Full time $125,000 (DOE). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Documentation of assessment revealing appropriate integration of information from the interview, physical examination and diagnostic data to clarify needs. When developing the plan of care, the interventions and expected outcomes are compatible with the patient’s needs. The history and physical is dedicated in a timely fashion and pertinent data is communicated via verbal report, phone report or fax to appropriate medical staff. NP/PA demonstrates the ability to accurately determine working diagnosesfrom the assessment data and utilizes available resources. Communication of admission assessment, diagnoses and plan is documented and communicated to the patient, family and healthcare team. Daily progress notes, if appropriate, consistently reflect ongoing integration of new assessment data along with appropriate adjustment of plan. NP/PA consistently collaborates with the other providers in determining appropriate outcomes. Documentation of the plan of care includes evidence of collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant role is focused on patient care and technical functions including triage, ordering tests and procedures, patient education, charting patient data electronically using EMR program, etc. NP/PA. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and deliver a “patient comes first” attitude.
