Commercial Flooring Estimator/Project Manager

Salary: Initial earnings are in the 70/80 K per annum range including salary and some commissions for the first year. Successful candidate will progress within the first approx 2 years to joining a profit sharing bonus structure that provides for results based compensation Requirements: Completion of high school Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training Valid driver’s license WHIMIS Bondable, basic security clearance & criminal record check Hard hat & steel toed safety boots Duties: Prepare estimates of labour and material costs Prepare bill of material Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors Select sub-trade Utilize quantity take-off procedures. Work with RFMS Measure software Advise on tendering procedures Monitor and adjust contract expenditures Read specifications Qualities & Skills:Job Type: Full-time Read and interpret blueprints and drawings Excellent computer skills Ability to learn industry specific computer programs Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Work with minimal supervision and with others Manage schedule with tight deadlines Excellent attention to detail Ability to distinguish between colours Problem solving, decision making, critical thinking Job task planning and organizing Significant use of memory Finding information Continuous learning Job Type: Full-time Pay: Up to $200,000.00 per year www.floortrends.ca
