Our Mission: The COMET Contract
The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. Our tasks support multiple programs, including:
The International Space Station (ISS)
Ground Systems Development and Operations (GSDO)
The Space Launch System (SLS)
The Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle

Our Ground Systems Support (GSS) team ensures the safe and efficient planning, coordination, and execution of complex technical operations involving large-scale equipment, lifting mechanisms, and load testing.
What You Will Do
As a Technical Integrator for the Heavy Equipment, High Crew, and Proof Load shop, you will serve as the crucial bridge between engineering, scheduling, and active technical operations. Your primary duties will include:
Work Order Creation and Management: Draft, review, and finalize work instructions and work orders using computerized maintenance management systems (such as Maximo).
Scheduling and Planning: Actively participate in daily scheduling meetings to understand work priorities and resolve technical planning issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with engineers, shop personnel, and other disciplines to develop workaround solutions that minimize schedule impacts.
Customer Interaction: Engage with clients and stakeholders to discuss requirements and ensure expectations are met safely and efficiently.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work complies with strict NASA and company safety protocols, as well as Kennedy Space Center material handling standards.
Who You Are: Essential Qualifications
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who excels in a dynamic environment. To thrive in this position, you should bring the following qualifications:
Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent, combined with at least four years of related experience.
Technical Proficiency: Technically and mechanically inclined with experience in heavy equipment operations, move operations of large objects, and lifting/rigging equipment (including cranes and forklifts).
Software Competencies: Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams) and strong familiarity with Maximo or similar computerized maintenance management systems.
Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
Licensing: A valid US Driver's License.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
Due to the nature of the operations at our testing facility, candidates should be prepared for the following:
Mobility: Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, climb stairs and platforms, and access remote structures.
Safety Gear: Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing and eye protection.
Environment: Ability to work both indoors and outdoors across the test complex.
Compensation and Benefits
